Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer – Sheetmetal

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with robust experience in sheet metal design, Transport conveyors, Material handling and Creo to support the design, development, and manufacturing of mechanical components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will work closely with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective, high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies, transport conveyors, Material handling using Creo.
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, flat patterns, and BOMs.
- Apply GD&T; and ensure drawings meet engineering and manufacturing standards
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Support design changes, documentation, and BOM maintenance
- Optimize designs for cost,



weight, and performance
- Participate in design reviews and implement improvements based on feedback

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proven experience in sheet metal design
- Proficiency in Creo (sheet metal, assemblies, drawings)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (laser cutting, bending, welding, stamping)
- Good knowledge of sheet metal, plastics, machined parts, and cast components
- Understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings

Preferred Skills

- Experience with PLM systems, knowledge of Windchill will be Add On
- Knowledge of other CAD tools (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor)
- Experience in enclosure, cabinet, or structural sheet metal design
