Role Description The Deputy Branch Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position is responsible for supporting branch leadership in achieving sales targets, driving business growth in life insurance products, and ensuring high standards of customer service. Day-to-day activities include managing and mentoring branch staff and insurance consultants, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing sales and marketing initiatives aligned with company strategy.

The role involves overseeing branch operations,



ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies, and resolving escalated customer issues promptly.

The Deputy Branch

Manager also collaborates with regional teams, supports training and development initiatives, and contributes to building a positive, performance-driven branch culture.

Qualifications

- Strong sales and business development skills, including experience in achieving revenue targets and expanding customer portfolios.
- Branch operations and process management skills, with the ability to supervise daily activities, ensure compliance, and maintain service quality.
- People management and leadership capabilities, including mentoring teams, performance management, and fostering collaboration.
- Customer relationship and communication skills, with a focus on handling queries, resolving issues, and delivering a high-quality customer experience.
- Analytical and planning skills, including the ability to interpret data, prepare reports, and develop action plans to improve branch performance.
- Relevant experience in life insurance or financial services, preferably in branch or distribution management.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management is an advantage.
- Proficiency in local language and English, and familiarity with basic digital tools and CRM or sales management systems.
