About The Role

We are looking for a Database Developer / DBA with strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server. The role will be responsible for database development, administration, performance optimization, backup recovery, replication, and production support for high-performance, data-intensive applications.

Key Responsibilities

Database Development

Design and develop database schemas, tables, and relationships.

Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

Perform query tuning and performance optimization.

Develop and maintain data processing logic, batch jobs, ETL, and file-processing workflows.

Support application teams with data modelling and query optimization.

Database Administration

Install, configure, and manage PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server databases.

Monitor database performance and identify and resolve bottlenecks.

Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.

Handle database security, user access, and permissions.

Manage replication, high availability,



and failover setups.

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in production environments.

General Responsibilities

Support data migration, ETL processes, and large-volume data handling.

Work closely with Development, QA, and Business teams.

Participate in release deployments and production support.

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance standards.

Required Skills Qualifications

2 - 4 years of experience in database development and administration.

Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server.

Strong SQL programming skills, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

Good understanding of database architecture, indexing, and normalization.

Hands-on experience with query optimization and execution plan analysis.

Knowledge of transaction management, locking, and concurrency control.

Experience with backup/restore, replication, and high-availability setups.

Familiarity with ETL processes and large data handling.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Valuable communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
