Coordinating with clients to discuss website design and function.
Designing and developing the website front-end.
Creating the website architecture.
Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
Developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
Conducting website performance tests.
Troubleshooting WordPress-related issues
Conducting WordPress training with the client.
Monitoring the performance of WordPress websites
Designing and implementing recent features and functionality
Skills
Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
Positive understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
Ability to manage projects.
Valuable communication skills
Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
