What You'll Do
As a Freight Broker / Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing recent business while building and managing long-term relationships with shippers and carriers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Prospecting for current customers through outbound calls, networking, referrals, and other business-development activities
Building and growing your own customer portfolio
Developing relationships with shippers and transportation providers
Quoting and negotiating competitive freight rates
Coordinating shipments from pickup through delivery
Communicating with customers, carriers, and internal team members
Resolving shipment issues quickly and professionally
Following up with prospects and existing customers
Managing multiple shipments and customer needs simultaneously
Maintaining accurate customer and shipment information in company systems
Working toward sales, revenue, and performance goals
Identifying opportunities to grow existing customer relationships
