The DAM Platform Coordinator is a detail-driven operator responsible for daily asset intake, metadata quality, and end-user support within the Orange Logic DAM platform. This contract role sits within the Digital team and serves as the backbone of day-to-day asset operations across all six e.l.f. Beauty brands - e.l.f. Cosmetics, e.l.f. SKIN, e.l.f. Hair, Well People, Naturium, and rhode.
This is not a creative role - it is a data-heavy, digital asset management position focused on keeping assets organized, accurately tagged, and accessible to teams across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on ownership, works with a high degree of independence, and brings a sharp eye for detail. You are comfortable working across time zones with US-based creative and marketing teams, and you are excited to be part of a team building a scalable DAM operations function from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
Daily Asset Intake QC
- Upload PDPs, campaign assets, retouched files, and video content to the DAM across all six e.l.f. Beauty brands - ensuring every asset enters the system through the proper intake workflow.
- QC retouched images coming in from retouchers - visually verify files against creative briefs, check technical specs (resolution, color profile, file format), and flag rejections back to the creative team.
- QC filenames against e.l.f. naming conventions on every asset ingested - correct or reject files that don t comply before they enter the DAM.
- Ensure metadata is mapping correctly to assets - verify that automated metadata mapping (from filename, folder structure, or upload template) captures the right fields; manually correct mismapped or missing metadata.
Metadata Taxonomy Maintenance
- Maintain custom fields, tags, and controlled vocabularies - keep dropdown lists, category tags, brand fields, and other controlled vocabularies current as new products, campaigns, and brands launch.
- Support metadata cleanup and enrichment projects - execute batch metadata updates, tag corrections, and legacy asset cleanup as directed by the Platform Manager.
- Support daily user requests - answer end-user questions about finding assets, uploading files, and navigating the DAM; escalate configuration or permissions issues to the Platform Manager.
Requirements:
Required
- 1-3 years of experience in DAM administration, digital asset operations, or a closely related field.
- Strong attention to detail for visual QC and filename/metadata compliance.
- Familiarity with creative production workflows - retouching, PDPs, campaign assets.
- Comfort with high-volume asset ingestion and batch operations.
- Basic understanding of metadata schemas and controlled vocabularies.
- Experience working within a DAM platform (Orange Logic, Canto, Bynder, or similar).
- Experience with Capture One
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and project management tools (e.g., Asana).
- Familiarity with file formats across photography, video, and design (RAW, TIFF, PSD, MP4, etc.).
- Openness to learning and adopting emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools for asset management.
- Robust written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work across time zones with US-based creative and marketing teams.
- High speed internet for downloading and uploading assets
Preferred
- Experience in beauty, fashion, CPG, or a high-volume DTC/retail content environment.
- Exposure to rights management, talent usage tracking, or licensing workflows.
- Familiarity with metadata standards, asset taxonomy, and naming convention best practices.
- Experience supporting multi-brand or multi-region DAM operations.
