About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts skilled with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience who can independently manage the complete Finance & Accounts function for the India entity.
The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Indian accounting, finance operations, statutory compliances, audit coordination, accounts payable and receivable. The candidate should be capable of managing day-to-day finance activities with minimal supervision and take ownership of accounting accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.
Exposure to MIS reporting, other overseas accounting and finance operations will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, bank transactions and general ledger.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and ensure timely monthly closing.
- Perform bank, customer, vendor and ledger reconciliations.
- Independently manage the complete accounts payable process.
- Review vendor invoices, purchase orders, contracts and supporting documents.
- Prepare payment schedules and payment proposals.
- Monitor vendor ageing and outstanding balances, resolve invoice and payment discrepancies, Ensure appropriate TDS deductions and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Review employee claims, travel expenses, purchase documents and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and review invoices, payment requests, receipts, credit notes and debit notes.
- Manage customer collections, accounts receivable ageing and payment follow-ups.
- Independently coordinate routine statutory compliance activities including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour compliance and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, vendors and customers as required.
- Review accounting entries and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
- Monitor outstanding receivables, vendor payments.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal finance processes and controls.
- Experience in overseas invoicing, payables, receivables,
bank reconciliations or financial reporting will be an advantage.
- Experience in coordinating with overseas auditors, accountants, consultants or banks will be preferred.
- Candidates without overseas experience but with strong independent India Finance & Accounts experience are also eligible to apply.
- Strong MS Excel skills are required, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and financial data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is strongly preferred, including Tally ERP, Oracle, SAP, Other similar accounting software or ERP systems
- Ability to independently identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
Educational Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA Inter or similar qualification.
