Purpose/Objective The Construction Piping Team Member executes piping jobs efficiently within specified engineering drawings, technical specifications, work scope, construction codes, and project parameters.

They ensure timely completion of tasks, maintain high quality and safety standards, support the preparation of spools for inspection, and facilitate smooth commissioning and handover processes.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Construction Piping Team Member-PETCHEM Site Operations & Oversight: Ensure accurate job execution by collecting and reviewing engineering drawings.

Facilitate precise job execution by studying and understanding engineering drawings.

Ensure comprehensive documentation and progress tracking by preparing daily fit-up reports and maintaining detailed records.

Ensure readiness for inspection and erection by verifying and inspecting spools according to drawings before and after welding.

Project Planning & Coordination: Ensure job readiness by preparing a detailed list of materials, resources, tools, and equipment needed.

Guarantee material availability for uninterrupted work by ensuring timely availability of materials for pre-fabrication and fabrication.

Ensure timely completion of pre-fabrication by finalizing the scope of fabrication work and adhering to the schedule.

Ensure successful erection of piping jobs by coordinating and arranging all necessary tools, tackles, and equipment.

Technical Design Review: Support alignment with technical requirements by reviewing engineering drawings during job execution.

Facilitate effective future referencing by assigning and managing punch line numbers, joint numbers, and spool numbers.

Compliance, Quality & Safety Management:



Maintain adherence to quality and safety standards during pre-fabrication and erection activities.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and technical specifications by maintaining daily records of progress.

Risk & Change Management: Address and report issues or deviations during fabrication and erection processes, ensuring timely communication with the Construction Piping Senior Team Member for resolution.

Commissioning, Handover & Post-construction Support: Support the readiness for final handover by assisting in the preparation of spools for inspection and commissioning.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Engineering.

Work Experience (Range of years): Minimum of 3-7 years in piping projects.

Experience in planning, execution, and coordination of various piping jobs in large-scale industrial projects.

Experience in handling above-ground (AG) and underground (UG) piping.

Experience managing multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and negotiating with large-scale, high-value vendors.
