Shriram General Insurance is seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure supporting critical insurance applications and business services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, security, monitoring, and high-availability environments.

The Cloud Engineer will work closely with application development, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure that cloud environments are secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Manage cloud services across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Support the migration of existing applications and infrastructure to cloud environments.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Configure and manage virtual machines, storage, networking, load balancers, databases, and other cloud services.
- Implement security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, network security, and access controls.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security using appropriate monitoring and logging tools.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and cloud-related issues.
- Work closely with DevOps and development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity for critical applications.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements applicable to the insurance industry.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues.





Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform:
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including:
- Compute services
- Storage
- Networking
- Load balancing
- Virtualization
- Backup and disaster recovery
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, VPC/VNet, and routing.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer
- Experience working in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) industry.
- Knowledge of cloud security and compliance requirements.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
