Role Description The Civil Safety Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols across construction sites to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, site safety inspections, and audits; identifying hazards; and recommending preventive and corrective actions.

The Civil Safety

Engineer will develop and deliver safety training programs for site personnel, coordinate emergency preparedness plans, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution. The role also involves maintaining safety documentation, incident reports,



and continuous improvement initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Safety Engineering and Construction Safety, including risk assessment, hazard control, and implementation of safety standards on civil infrastructure projects.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Occupational Health practices, including monitoring workplace conditions, promoting safe work procedures, and supporting health and wellness initiatives on-site.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Security-related aspects of construction sites, including access control, incident reporting, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to safeguard people and property.
- Candidates should possess skills in Training, with experience designing and delivering safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing awareness programs for diverse site teams.
- Relevant educational background such as a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline, along with recognized certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent), is beneficial.
- Experience in civil or infrastructure construction projects, familiarity with local and national safety regulations, and strong analytical and documentation skills are preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly at all levels, and maintain a detail-oriented, proactive approach to safety management is expected.
