Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – AI Healthcare Saa S

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING

Clinic Pro is looking for an exceptional Chief Technology Officer to own the technical architecture, infrastructure, integrations, security, scalability, and long-term technology strategy behind our AI healthcare platform.

This is not a ceremonial CTO position.

We need a hands-on technical leader and systems architect who can operate strategically while remaining close enough to the technology to make critical architectural and engineering decisions.

STEP 1 — REVIEW THE COMPLETE POSITION OVERVIEW

Before applying, review the complete position overview and VSL explaining what we are building, what we expect from this role, and where Clinic Pro is going.

STEP 2 — APPLY + BOOK YOUR FIRST INTERVIEW

This is a full-time position

We are looking for someone fully committed to Clinic Pro

We are actively hiring and will move quickly with exceptional candidates

About Clinic Pro Clinic Pro is building an AI operating layer for healthcare organizations, combining intelligent voice agents, patient communication, workflow automation, scheduling, and deep healthcare software integrations.

As we scale, our technology must become increasingly reliable, secure, scalable, observable, and capable of supporting significantly more healthcare organizations without creating unnecessary technical complexity.

That is where this role comes in.

What You'll Own You will work directly with the founders and engineering team to build a reliable, scalable, enterprise-ready AI platform.

Key responsibilities include

Own Clinic Pro's overall technical architecture and technology strategy

Design scalable multi-tenant Saa S, backend, API, database, and cloud infrastructure

Architect AI voice, conversational AI, multi-agent, and automation systems

Oversee complex EMR/EHR, CRM, scheduling, and healthcare software integrations

Establish strong standards for architecture, development, testing, deployment, and documentation

Identify architectural bottlenecks, technical debt, reliability risks, and scalability constraints before they become major problems

Improve platform reliability, observability, latency, security, performance, and infrastructure efficiency

Evaluate unfamiliar APIs, undocumented systems, and technically difficult integrations

Translate business and product goals into technically sound roadmaps and architecture

Evaluate emerging AI technologies, infrastructure, models, and frameworks

Make strong build-vs-buy decisions as the platform evolves

Establish technical foundations capable of supporting significant growth

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with substantial experience across several of the following:

Saa S architecture and scalable production systems

AI/LLM-powered applications and agentic systems

Conversational AI and voice infrastructure

Backend engineering and distributed systems

APIs, webhooks, middleware, OAuth, and complex third-party integrations

Cloud infrastructure, databases, Dev Ops, and observability

Healthcare technology and EMR/EHR integrations

HL7, FHIR, or healthcare interoperability

Security, privacy, HIPAA, and healthcare data infrastructure

Technical product strategy

High-growth Saa S environments

You should have experience taking complex technology from early-stage or growth-stage infrastructure into reliable, scalable production systems.

Healthcare experience is highly valuable, particularly experience integrating with fragmented or technically challenging healthcare platforms.

The Person We're Looking For You are a builder and systems thinker.

You can look at an architecture and identify what will eventually break.

You understand how individual technical decisions affect reliability, scalability, security, infrastructure cost, and product velocity.

You can evaluate an unfamiliar API or platform and quickly determine the best path to integration.

You know when a system is being overengineered—and when shortcuts are creating dangerous technical debt.

You are comfortable working with:

documented APIs, undocumented APIs, webhooks, middleware, authentication systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, AI models, voice infrastructure, and complex external platforms.

You are capable of moving between:

architecture → engineering → infrastructure → integrations → AI → product strategy.

You don't simply solve the immediate technical problem.

You think about how the solution needs to function when Clinic Pro is operating at significantly greater scale.

AI & Integrations AI and integrations sit at the center of Clinic Pro's technology.

You should be comfortable architecting systems involving:

AI voice agents

LLM-powered applications

Tool calling

Multi-agent systems

Conversational AI

Telephony

SMS and email automation

Workflow orchestration

Real-time systems

API integrations

EMR/EHR connectivity

Scheduling infrastructure

Data synchronization

Authentication and authorization

Experience with technologies such as Vapi, Live Kit, Twilio, Supabase, Python, Node.js, modern cloud infrastructure, and AI development frameworks is valuable.

Specific tools will evolve.

Your ability to understand and architect complex systems should not depend on any one platform.

Reliability, Security & Scale

Clinic Pro's technology supports healthcare organizations and patient communication.

Reliability matters.

You will help ensure our systems are designed around:

High availability

Fault tolerance

Monitoring and observability

Logging and alerting

Integration resilience

Automated testing

Deployment safety

Data security

Access controls

Encryption

HIPAA-conscious architecture

PHI protection

Infrastructure efficiency

Disaster recovery

Scalability

Security and reliability should be part of the architecture—not something added afterward.

Engineering Leadership, Team Building & Innovation

This role is not limited to technical architecture.

We are looking for a CTO who has experience building, managing, developing, and elevating engineering teams while continuing to drive technical strategy and innovation.

You should have experience

Recruiting and hiring exceptional engineers

Structuring engineering teams around transparent ownership and accountability

Managing technical performance and execution

Mentoring senior and junior engineers

Establishing strong engineering standards and development practices

Creating clear technical priorities and translating them into execution

Improving collaboration across engineering, product, operations, and leadership

Identifying skill gaps and strengthening the team around them

Building a culture of high standards, speed, ownership, and continuous improvement

Holding engineers accountable to quality, deadlines, documentation, and outcomes

Creating systems that allow the engineering organization to scale without unnecessary complexity

We also want someone who brings new thinking into the organization.

You should actively evaluate emerging technologies, architectures, frameworks, AI models, and development approaches and determine where they can create meaningful leverage for Clinic Pro.

You should be comfortable challenging existing systems when a better solution exists.

We want someone who can look at the current technology and engineering organization and ask:

What should we improve?

What should we rebuild?

What should we automate?

What should we stop doing?

What technology should we adopt before it becomes obvious to everyone else?

The right CTO will not simply maintain the technical organization.

They will continuously make it stronger, faster, more innovative, and more capable.

What Success Looks Like

Your work should help Clinic Pro:

Support significantly more customers without linear increases in technical complexity

Reduce integration failures and technical bottlenecks

Accelerate deployment of new integrations and platform capabilities

Improve uptime, monitoring, testing, and observability

Strengthen healthcare security and compliance

Standardize technical infrastructure and integration patterns

Reduce unnecessary technical debt

Improve system performance and infrastructure efficiency

Make technically difficult integrations increasingly repeatable

Build infrastructure capable of supporting Clinic Pro at enterprise scale
