About the RoleZenalyst builds an enterprise agentic execution layer for the CFO's office. ZenBank, our treasury product, automates bank connectivity, statement ingestion, transaction classification, reconciliation, cash positioning and forecasting for large enterprises.

We need a Chartered Accountant who has actually done treasury work in industry to sit inside the product team. Engineers can build anything; they cannot tell you what a correct BRS looks like, why an escrow account cannot be swept, or what a controller will refuse to sign off on. That is your job.

You are the domain authority. You define what "correct" means, and you are accountable when the output is wrong.

ResponsibilitiesDomain ownership

- Define the functional logic behind our treasury workflows: bank statement ingestion, transaction classification, reconciliation, cash positioning, forecasting, and payment workflows
- Own the classification taxonomy — categories, sub-categories, and the rules that assign them
- Specify reconciliation logic: matching rules, tolerance handling, exception treatment, and what an unmatched item means to a controller
- Define the accounting treatment behind every automated action, including what posts to the ERP and when
- Set the accuracy bar for AI-generated output and sign off on whether it meets that bar before it goes to a customer
- Own the rules around restricted account types — RERA, escrow, OD, CC, FD — and what the system must never do with them

Product





- Write functional specifications that engineers can build from without guessing
- Test the product as a controller would, and file what is wrong before a customer finds it
- Review AI-generated outputs — classifications, forecasts, reconciliation results — and quantify where they fail
- Prioritise the backlog on domain grounds, alongside product and engineering

Customer-facing

- Run discovery with customer finance teams to understand their existing treasury process
- Support implementation: chart of accounts mapping, entity structures, classification rules, opening balances
- Handle functional escalations directly with customer controllers and treasury managers
- Support pre-sales and demos when the buyer wants to speak to someone who has done the job

RequirementsEssential

- Chartered Accountant, with 2–4 years post-qualification experience in industry (not exclusively in practice or audit)
- Hands-on treasury, banking operations or financial control experience — you have prepared or reviewed BRS, managed bank relationships, or run cash positioning
- Robust grasp of bank statement structures, transaction narrations, and how Indian banks actually report
- Working knowledge of an ERP — SAP, Oracle, Tally or Dynamics — from the user side, including how entries post
- Advanced Excel; comfortable with large datasets




- Ability to write clearly and precisely; ambiguity in a spec becomes a bug
- Comfortable being questioned by engineers and defending your answer with reasoning, not authority

Strongly preferred

- Real estate, infrastructure or construction sector experience — RERA accounts, escrow structures, SPV-level entity hierarchies, project-wise accounting
- Multi-entity or group treasury exposure
- Experience implementing or being the finance-side owner of a system rollout
- Some SQL, or genuine willingness to learn enough to query data yourself

Nice to have

- Exposure to treasury management systems or banking connectivity platforms
- Interest in AI and automation, and a view on where it should and should not be trusted
- Prior startup exposure

You should be curious about how software gets made, willing to sit in engineering conversations you only half follow at first, and unwilling to let something inaccurate ship because the deadline was tight.
