Role Description The CCU Incharge Nurse is responsible for overseeing clinical nursing care and operations in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at ACI in Ludhiana. This full-time, on-site role involves coordinating patient care for individuals with acute and critical cardiac conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting advanced cardiac procedures as per physician orders and clinical protocols. The CCU Incharge Nurse supervises nursing staff, organizes shift schedules, ensures adherence to infection control and safety standards, and maintains accurate documentation and patient records.

The role includes collaborating closely with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams, providing family education on cardiac conditions and post-procedure care,



and participating in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response in the CCU. The nurse is also expected to support training of junior staff, ensure readiness of equipment and supplies, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and compassionate care.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust clinical cardiac nursing skills, including acute and critical care management, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response in a CCU or ICU setting.
- Candidates should possess leadership and supervisory abilities, including team coordination, shift management, delegation of duties, and mentoring of nursing staff.
- Candidates should possess skills in patient assessment, care planning, documentation, and adherence to evidence-based protocols and infection control standards.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using clinical equipment common to cardiac and critical care (e.g., monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps) and basic computer skills for electronic records.
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid nursing registration; a specialized certification or experience in cardiac or critical care nursing is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a CCU/ICU nurse, preferably with responsibility for unit coordination or charge nurse duties, is an advantage.
