Role Description The Category Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position is responsible for managing assigned categories, including analyzing spend and performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting sourcing strategies. Day-to-day activities include conducting market and supplier research, preparing and evaluating proposals, assisting in contract negotiations, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to understand business needs.

The Category

Specialist will monitor category KPIs, maintain accurate procurement and contract records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services.



The role also involves contributing to process improvements and supporting implementation of category plans aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Category Management and Procurement skills, including experience managing suppliers and sourcing activities.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for data interpretation, cost analysis, and performance tracking.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for stakeholder collaboration, supplier interactions, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation skills for handling commercial terms, service levels, and agreements.
- Relevant experience in supply chain, purchasing, or category management, preferably in a corporate or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools; familiarity with ERP or procurement systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; qualified certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
