Position: Power Quality testing Engineer

On Site and Office (Travel across India)

Role Overview

The Power Quality Testing Engineer will be responsible for conducting in office electrical testing, power quality analysis, and compliance verification of renewable energy plants as per guidelines issued by the CEA, IEEE, and IEC standards. The engineer will perform field measurements, testing, data collection, and reporting to ensure grid-connected plants meet regulatory and technical

Key Responsibilities

Power Quality Measurements
Perform power quality testing at solar, wind,Thermal and hybrid power plants.

Measure parameters such as:
Voltage harmonics
Current harmonics
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)
Voltage dips and swells

Operate instruments such as:
Fluke 1770 Series Power Quality Analyzer

Verify compliance related to:
Harmonic limits
Reactive power capability
Voltage variation
Frequency response
DC injection limits

Field Testing Data Acquisition
Perform temporary and continuous PQ monitoring.
Ensure correct CT/PT connections and safety procedures.

Data Analysis Reporting
Download and analyze measurement data.




Prepare power quality reports and compliance documentation.
Provide recommendations for corrective actions when limits are exceeded.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in:
Preferred experience in:
Solar or wind power plants
Electrical testing and commissioning
Power quality measurements
Freshers with strong electrical fundamentals may also apply.

Required Competencies
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work at remote power plant sites
Electrical troubleshooting ability
Positive documentation and reporting skills
Frequent travel to power plants across India is required.

Safety Responsibilities
Follow electrical safety protocols.
Use appropriate PPE while working in substations and plant electrical panels.
Ensure protected installation of measurement equipment.
