Role Description The Breeder will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving crop varieties to meet yield, quality, and resilience goals. Day-to-day tasks include designing and conducting breeding trials, collecting and analyzing field data, managing seed multiplication programs, and maintaining accurate records of breeding lines. The role involves close collaboration with agronomists, quality control teams, and production staff to ensure that new varieties meet market and regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, requiring regular field visits, coordination with local farmers,



and participation in product demonstrations and training sessions.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in plant breeding, genetics, and agronomy, with the ability to design and manage breeding programs and field trials.
- Experience in data collection, statistical analysis, and use of digital tools or software for trial management and performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of seed production processes, crop protection practices, and micronutrient management in sustainable farming systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, farmers, and external partners.
- Ability to conduct on-site fieldwork in varying conditions, including trial monitoring, sample collection, and varietal demonstrations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Plant Breeding, Genetics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in commercial breeding, seed companies, or agricultural research organizations is an advantage.
- Commitment to sustainable agriculture, farmer-centric solutions, and continuous learning in new breeding technologies.
