Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bioinformatics Intern role based in Chandigarh. The intern will assist in analyzing biological datasets, including sequencing and genomic data, using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods. Daily tasks include supporting research projects, cleaning and organizing data, running pipelines and scripts, and documenting methodologies and findings.





The role involves collaborating with scientific and technical teams to interpret results, prepare reports, and contribute to presentations or internal knowledge resources. The intern will also help evaluate new tools, maintain basic documentation, and follow established data management and quality assurance practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong bioinformatics and sequencing skills, including familiarity with genomic data formats and common bioinformatics tools.
- Candidates should possess statistics and data analysis skills for working with large biological datasets and interpreting quantitative results.
- Candidates should possess solid research skills, including literature review, protocol understanding, and clear documentation of methods and findings.
- Relevant academic background in bioinformatics, computational biology, biotechnology, genetics, or a related life sciences or quantitative field (current enrollment or recent graduation).
- Basic proficiency in programming or scripting (e.g., Python, R, or similar) and comfort working in Linux or similar environments is beneficial.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn new tools and methods.
