Role Description The Backend Developer Intern will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of server-side features and APIs for DriftSync’s digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, efficient code, integrating databases and external services, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with front-end and product teams to ensure smooth end-to-end functionality.

The intern will also assist in code reviews, documentation, and testing to improve performance, reliability, and security. This is a full-time remote role,



requiring effective communication, time management, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development for building and maintaining server-side applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming for writing modular, reusable, and effective code.
- Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development to understand integration points and collaborate on full-stack features.
- Familiarity with backend language or framework Node.js and basic knowledge of RESTful APIs and databases is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies are expected.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment are important.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
