Position- Sr Software Engineer (Node.js)

Role summary

You will own the design, development, and delivery of core modules on company’s enterprise Saa S platform. The work is primarily backend APIs, database architecture, background services, and integrations with frontend involvement when features require full-stack ownership.

Backend development

● Design and build server-side architecture: APIs, data models, background jobs, and third-party integrations

● Write effective RESTful APIs using Python or Node.js that serve both the web application and mobile clients

● Design and manage Mongo DB databases schema design, indexing, query optimisation, and data integrity at scale, etc.

● Build and maintain background services and data pipelines that process high-volume data reliably and efficiently

● Implement security and data protection measures appropriate for enterprise clients

Frontend contribution

● Contribute to the frontend using Vue.js when features require full-stack ownership, you should be comfortable building and maintaining frontend components

● Ensure application responsiveness and performance across browsers and devices

Must-have skills





● 4–7 years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus

● Proficiency in writing APIs using Python or Node.js you should be able to design, build, and optimise APIs independently

● Hands-on experience with Mongo DB or other No SQL databases including schema design, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning

● Working knowledge of frontend development with Vue.js enough to own full-stack features when needed

● Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows

● Ability to write clean, testable, well-documented code and conduct thorough code reviews

● Clear communication skills you can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and write documentation that others can follow

Positive-to-have skills

● AI assisted coding workflows.

● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)

● Exposure to microservices architecture, event-driven systems, or message queues

● Experience building data pipelines or working with high-volume data processing

● Prior experience in Saa S or enterprise product companies

● Familiarity with ML/AI integration at the application layer
