Key Responsibilities HIL Test Development & Execution
- Design, develop, and execute validation test cases using HIL platforms.
• Configure and maintain HIL test benches for ECU verification and validation activities.
- Develop simulation models for vehicle subsystems and plant models using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing of automotive ECUs.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution. Test Automation
- Create automated test scripts using:
AutomationDesk o ControlDesk o Python o CAPL (preferred)
- Develop automated test sequences and reporting frameworks.
- Improve test coverage and reduce validation cycle time through automation. Vehicle Network Validation
• Validate ECU communication over: o CAN o Automotive Ethernet (preferred)
- Perform network analysis using Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
- Interpret DBC Requirements & Compliance
• Review and analyze system and software requirements.
- Create requirement traceability matrices and validation reports.
- Support ASPICE-compliant verification and validation processes.
- Ensure test artifacts comply with automotive quality standards. Defect Analysis
- Perform root-cause analysis of software and hardware issues detected during validation.
- Generate detailed defect reports and support debugging activities.
• Participate in design reviews and validation readiness reviews. Required Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
o Electronics Engineering o Electrical Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering o Embedded Systems o Automotive Engineering o Related disciplines Experience
- 3+ years of automotive ECU validation experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with HIL systems. Technical Skills Mandatory Skills
- Robust expertise in: o SCALEXIO or VEOS platforms o AutomationDesk o ControlDesk o ConfigurationDesk
- MATLAB/Simulink modeling and simulation.
- ECU validation and verification methodologies.
- CAN, LIN communication protocols.
- Vector CANoe/CANalyzer.
- Requirement-based testing.
- Test case design and execution.
- Python scripting for automation.
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE). Preferred Skills
- UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229).
- Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
- Automotive Ethernet validation.
- Jenkins CI/CD integration.
