This will help you grow:
- Plan, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for automotive ECU software.
- Perform end-to-end testing covering Automotive Diagnostics, Network/Communication, and Security functionalities.
- Test and validate automotive diagnostic functions based on UDS / ISO 14229, including Diagnostic Session Control, ECU Reset, Security Access, Read/Write Data, Routine Control, Communication Control, DTC services, and other relevant diagnostic services.
- Perform network testing and validation using CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, and FlexRay, including message, signal, communication, timing, routing, network management, and error-handling validation.Analyze CAN/CAN FD and Ethernet traces, diagnostic logs, ECU responses, and communication data to identify failures and perform root-cause analysis.
- Validate communication between ECUs and ensure correct behavior of diagnostic and network services under different operating conditions.
- Perform automotive security testing, including secure diagnostic functions, authentication/access mechanisms, Security Access, access-control behavior, communication security, and identification of potential security weaknesses.Apply relevant automotive cybersecurity concepts and ISO 21434 requirements during software testing and validation.
- Develop and execute negative, robustness, boundary, error-handling, and security test cases to validate ECU behavior under abnormal and unexpected conditions.
- Perform integration, regression, confirmation, and system-level testing following software changes and defect fixes.
- Use tools such as Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, Dante and other relevant automotive diagnostic, network, and security testing tools.
- Analyze test failures, identify potential root causes, and work with developers and system engineers to resolve software and communication issues.
- Create and maintain detailed defect reports in Jira, KPM, or equivalent tools, including reproduction steps, logs, traces, expected/actual results, and technical analysis.Maintain test documentation, test reports, requirement traceability, and test evidence using tools such as Confluence or equivalent platforms.
- Participate in technical discussions with internal stakeholders and global customer teams, including teams based in Germany.
- Support troubleshooting of complex diagnostic, communication, and security-related issues and provide technical inputs to development teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test strategies, test automation, test processes, methodologies, and quality standards.
- Take ownership of assigned testing activities and ensure deliverables are completed within defined quality and project timelines.
- For Senior-level candidates, provide technical guidance to other engineers, review test cases and test results, support task coordination, mentor team members, and act as a technical SPOC for assigned testing areas.
