Educational Qualification
M.Sc. in Plant Pathology
Ph.D. in Plant Pathology
Key Responsibilities
Collect and identify plant disease samples, including bacterial, fungal, and viral pathogens and insect vectors.
Prepare, sterilize, and preserve laboratory media.
Maintain laboratory equipment.
Isolate, purify, and multiply pathogens from different plant parts.
Conduct pathogenicity tests and maintain pathogen cultures.
Diagnose field and greenhouse diseases.
Provide disease-management recommendations to breeding and farming programs.
Collaborate with research teams on crop handling and shared facilities.
Maintain laboratory records, research data, reports, and pathogen cultures.
Travel for field trials and research activities.
Required Skills
