Role Description The Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Practice is a full time, on-site role based at Oxford College of Pharmacy in Bengaluru. The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in pharmacy practice and related subjects, using up-to-date teaching methods and relevant case studies. The faculty member is expected to guide learners in clinical and community pharmacy concepts, mentor learners on academic and career matters, and supervise projects and internships.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and assessment materials, evaluating learner performance, maintaining academic records, and contributing to curriculum development and accreditation activities.

The Assistant

Professor also participates in departmental meetings, engages in scholarly and career development activities,



and supports college initiatives such as seminars, workshops, and outreach programs.

Qualifications

- Postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Pharm in Pharmacy Practice or related specialization) from a recognized institution; Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral work in a related area is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of clinical pharmacy, pharmacotherapy, hospital and community pharmacy, and current practices in patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, including lesson planning, classroom management, and learner assessment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and academic writing skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and support diverse learners.
- Experience or interest in research, including designing studies, publishing in academic or professional journals, and participating in conferences or workshops.
- Familiarity with regulatory and professional standards relevant to pharmacy education and practice (e.g., PCI norms and ethical guidelines).
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary academic and clinical teams and contribute to departmental activities.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools for teaching (presentation software, learning management systems) and willingness to adopt innovative educational technologies.
