Position Overview

MITCOM & CA / MIT SOB & CA is seeking a dynamic, qualified, and research-oriented academician for the position of Assistant Professor in Business Analytics. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, engage in cutting-edge research, mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contribute to curriculum development aligned with industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

- Teaching & Pedagogy: Deliver courses in Business Analytics, Predictive Modeling, Data Visualization, R/Python for Business, Machine Learning Applications, and Big Data Analytics at the UG and PG levels.
- Research & Publication: Conduct impactful research and publish regularly in peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed, or Web of Science (WoS) journals.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in updating the Business Analytics curriculum to reflect evolving industry practices, tools, and frameworks.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Supervise student research projects, capstone studies, and industry internships; mentor students for academic and professional growth.
- Institutional Building: Participate in accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF), organize workshops, faculty development programs (FDPs), and guest lectures,



and undertake assigned administrative duties.
- Industry Connect: Build corporate linkages for student live projects, guest sessions, and collaborative research opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

- Education: Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Management (with Analytics concentration), Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a closely is highly preferred.
- Master’s Degree: First-class Master’s degree (MBA / M.Tech / MCA or equivalent) in a relevant specialization from a recognized university.
- Experience: 0 to 5 years of teaching, research, or industry experience post-Ph.D. Fresh Ph.D. graduates with solid research output and teaching aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in analytical tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel Analytics, and SAS.

Desired Skills & Competencies

- Strong foundation in statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and data-driven business decision-making.
- Proven track record of publications in high-impact indexed journals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong classroom delivery.
- Familiarity with outcome-based education (OBE) frameworks.
