Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – QS & Costing with robust experience in commercial interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for project estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering, costing, rate analysis, billing, variation management, vendor negotiation and overall cost control.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Review drawings, scope of work and tender documents to identify quantities and costing requirements.
- Prepare rate analysis for civil, interior, finishing, furniture and MEP works.
- Handle tendering, estimation and commercial proposals for new projects.
- Analyse vendor/subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to achieve competitive and cost-effective rates.
- Monitor project budget vs. actual cost and identify cost deviations.
- Track project quantities, material consumption and wastage.
- Verify client RA bills, subcontractor bills and measurement sheets.
- Manage variations, extra items, change orders and claims, including rate analysis and cost impact.
- Coordinate with Project, Design, Procurement, Site and Accounts teams for commercial requirements.
- Support procurement by providing quantity requirements, cost benchmarks and vendor comparisons.
- Prepare cost reports, MIS, budget analysis and commercial reports for management.
- Maintain costing databases, BOQs,



rate sheets and project commercial records.
- Identify opportunities for cost saving and value engineering without compromising quality.
- Ensure timely commercial closure of projects and maintain proper documentation.
- Guide and coordinate with junior QS/costing team members.
- Conduct site visits when required for measurement, quantity verification and cost assessment.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying, Estimation & Costing.
- Excellent understanding of commercial interior fit-out works.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off and rate analysis.
- Good understanding of interior materials, finishes and execution processes.
- Strong MS Excel skills; knowledge of AutoCAD and estimation software preferred.
- Good vendor/subcontractor negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines.

Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in QS, estimation, costing or commercial functions.
- Commercial interior fit-out experience is mandatory.
- Experience in handling complete project commercials from estimation/tendering to billing and final cost closure will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in corporate offices, retail, hospitality or large-scale commercial fit-outs will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners / short notice candidates preferred.
