GCP Cloud Operations & Security Engineer

Experience: 5-10 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Ensure availability, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and manage IAM, network security, Cloud Armor, Security Command Center, and Secret Manager.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents; perform RCA.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and scripting (Python/Shell).
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Perform vulnerability management, security assessments,



and compliance audits.
- Optimize cloud costs and infrastructure performance.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in IAM, networking, cloud security, and Kubernetes (GKE).
- Experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of Security Command Center, SIEM tools, and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python/Shell scripting.
- ITIL

Preferred Certifications

- GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- GCP Qualified Cloud Architect
- CKA / CISSP / CCSP

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or related field.
- 5-10 years of overall IT experience with 3+ years in GCP Operations & Security.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
