Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Android Penetration Tester Intern role based in Bhubaneswar. The intern will assist in assessing the security of Android applications used across Ekatraa’s platforms, including identifying vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential attack vectors.
Day-to-day responsibilities include performing static and dynamic analysis of Android apps, supporting reverse engineering tasks, and documenting findings in clear, structured reports.
The intern will collaborate with security and development teams to help validate fixes, participate in red team exercises, and contribute to improving secure coding practices. The role also involves staying current with emerging mobile security threats, tools, and methodologies relevant to Android ecosystems.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Reverse Engineering and Malware Analysis for Android applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security and Cybersecurity fundamentals, especially focused on mobile ecosystems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Red Teaming or offensive security methodologies relevant to penetration testing.
- Basic familiarity with Android architecture, Android Studio, and common mobile security testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Frida, MobSF) is beneficial.
- Understanding of OWASP Mobile Security Testing Guide, secure coding principles, and common mobile vulnerabilities is preferred.
- Pursuing or having completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to document technical findings in explicit, concise language.
- Willingness to learn, collaborate in a team environment, and adhere to ethical guidelines and responsible disclosure practices.
