AgroNest Ventures is a deep-tech company developing AI and IoT solutions to empower farmers globally. The role involves building AI/ML models for agriculture using diverse data sources to improve food security and farm sustainability.

Role: AI/ML Agricultural Engineer

Location: In person

Experience

- 2+ years of direct experience with geospatial data processing tools

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Agricultural Engineering, Remote Sensing, or a highly quantitative STEM field
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Agricultural Engineering, Remote Sensing, or a highly quantitative STEM field
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Agricultural Engineering, Remote Sensing, or a highly quantitative STEM field

Responsibilities

- Build, train, and optimize AI/ML models for crop yield prediction, pest/disease detection, soil health telemetry, and autonomous irrigation
- Ingest, preprocess, and align large-scale heterogeneous datasets including multispectral satellite data, drone imagery, weather feeds, and IoT sensor streams




- Optimize deep learning architectures to run efficiently on resource-constrained Edge IoT devices, drones, and smartphone applications
- Collaborate with agronomists, IoT hardware engineers, and product managers to translate agronomic challenges into machine learning frameworks
- Architect, monitor, and scale secure data pipelines and MLOps workflows for continuous integration and real-time inference

Additional Responsibilities

- Work with real, massive-scale field data from over 300,000 farmers
- Contribute to global food security, climate resilience, and sustainable farm yields
- Engage in cross-disciplinary research and development
- Participate in a collaborative culture alongside AI, IoT, and XaaS experts

Nice To Have

- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and linear algebra
- Curiosity for biological systems and agronomic sciences
- Experience with early-stage equity options (ESOPs)
- Familiarity with adaptable hybrid working models
- Interest in rapid career progression to tech leadership
