Role Description The Agency Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Shimoga, responsible for developing and managing the agency distribution network for Aditya Birla Health Insurance. This role involves recruiting, training, and mentoring agency partners and advisors to achieve sales and business growth targets in the assigned territory.

The Agency

Manager will plan and execute local sales strategies, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day activities include conducting regular field visits, supporting advisors in client acquisition,



organizing promotional activities, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and channel partners. The role also requires preparing periodic performance reports, sharing market feedback with management, and driving a customer-centric approach in all interactions.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in insurance or financial services sales, preferably in health insurance or agency/channel management.
- Strong skills in team leadership, people management, and mentoring to develop high-performing agency partners and advisors.
- Competence in territory planning, sales forecasting, and execution of local market strategies.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with customers and distribution partners.
- Ability to work with performance targets, analyze sales data, and prepare concise business reports.
- Good understanding of health insurance products, customer needs, and regulatory guidelines (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Comfort with basic digital tools and CRM systems to manage leads, track activities, and report outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in insurance are an advantage.
- High level of integrity, customer-centric mindset, and readiness to travel locally within Shimoga and nearby areas as required.
