We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to oversee general ledger activities, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and drive the month-end close process. You will ensure the accuracy of financial data, monitor compliance with relevant tax and accounting standards, and translate complex figures into actionable managerial insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting & Ledger Management

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to spot and fix data discrepancies.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes efficiently.
- Prepare accurate balance sheets, profit and loss (P&L;) statements, and cash flow reports.
- Calculate and record complex journal entries, monthly accruals, and prepayments.

Reconciliations & Variance Analysis

- Perform high-volume reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and credit cards.
- Analyze monthly budget-to-actual variances and document clear explanations for management.
- Conduct revenue-recognition evaluations and perform true-up calculations for client billings.

Compliance, Tax & Auditing

- Assist with tax compliance, including filing GST/VAT, TDS, and corporate tax returns.




- Ensure all financial operations comply strictly with local accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
- Prepare detailed audit schedules and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors.

Process Automation & Oversight

- Review and approve basic entries completed by junior accounts clerks or bookkeepers.
- Suggest and implement accounting software workflows to increase accuracy and reduce manual errors.

QUALIFICATION

- Degree : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a highly related business field.

EXPERIENCE

- Duration : 3 to 6 years of progressive, full-cycle corporate accounting experience.
- Environment : Prior experience working within a accounting firm or a quick-paced corporate finance team.
- Software : High proficiency in Tally ERPs and platforms like Microsoft Office,
- Advanced Excel : Mastery of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, index-match, and nested formulas.
- Soft Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver data findings to non-financial managers. Sharp problem-solving mindset with absolute precision and attention to detail.
