Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kochi. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The role includes preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
The Accountant will support month-end and year-end closing activities, maintain accurate financial records, and provide financial reports and insights to management. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams, responding to finance-related queries,
and continuously improving accounting processes and controls. Must be travel to client location.
We are looking for someone who has a valuable understanding of accounting as well as accounting software.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Accounting software knowledge is mandator
- CA Inter qualification or experience in a CA/ accounting firm
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., ERP systems, Excel); familiarity with automation tools is an advantage.
- Understanding of taxation, compliance requirements, and relevant local and national financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Kochi, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
