Role Description The Accountant role at BPS Logistics is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi. The accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. This role prepares and reviews financial statements, supports budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensures timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.

The accountant will monitor compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies, while coordinating with internal teams and external auditors as needed.



The role also involves analyzing financial data to identify variances, supporting cost control initiatives, and providing clear financial reports to management for decision-making.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in accounting principles, including experience with general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis).
- Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit procedures relevant to logistics or service-based businesses.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and present clear, concise reports.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, ACCA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in accounting or finance within logistics, transportation, or a similar industry is preferred.
