Role Description

- The Accountant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Chennai, with some flexibility for work from home. An accountant will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Pulling (from suppliers Website) and posting invoices for UPS, FedEx and Central Transport.
- Reconcile the credit card transactions in NetSuite to balance with Braintree, our credit card processor.
- Data entry of payables.
- Processing sales tax certificates into CertCap through our third-party processor, Avalara.



Updating the customer’s account in NetSuite and attaching the certificate to their account.
- Processing credit memo’s for sales tax when applicable.

The Accountant is expected to maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, and contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Accounting and Bookkeeping, with the ability to maintain accurate financial records and support routine transactions.
- Graduate - B.Com with Minimum 2 years working experience.
- Hands-on proficiency with NetSuite or any similar ERP software.
- Strong working skill in Excel.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution workplace is an advantage.
