Role Description The English Proofreader internship at Research Ramp is an on-site role based in Kolkata. The intern will review and proofread academic manuscripts, articles, and related documents to ensure grammatical accuracy,



clarity, consistency, and adherence to journal-specific guidelines. Daily tasks include checking spelling and punctuation, improving sentence structure, refining academic tone, aligning manuscripts with style requirements, and flagging any unclear or ambiguous content for revision. The intern will collaborate with editors and publication consultants, follow established workflows, and maintain strict confidentiality of all research materials while meeting assigned deadlines.
Qualifications
Solid English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, and academic writing style.
Attention to detail and accuracy in proofreading and document review.
Ability to follow journal or style guidelines (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago) and maintain consistency in formatting.
Basic understanding of academic research and scholarly publishing processes is preferred.
