Key Responsibilities
• Execute equity trades on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on behalf of the firm's proprietary book
• Track index movements (Nifty, Sensex), sector trends, and stock-specific price action to identify trading opportunities
• Apply fundamental and technical analysis to develop and execute trading strategies
• Deliver market commentary, trade recommendations, and research insights to clients, portfolio managers, and internal stakeholders
• Manage order execution, trade confirmations, and settlement processes in compliance with SEBI, NSE, and BSE regulations
• Monitor firm positions to ensure adherence to risk limits and margin requirements
• Stay abreast of corporate actions, macroeconomic indicators, and global market developments affecting Indian equities
• Maintain accurate trading records and prepare regular P&L; and performance reports
Requirements
• 3–5 years of experience in equities trading, stock brokering, or investment research




• Sound knowledge of equity markets and a genuine interest in financial markets and securities trading
• Working knowledge of technical analysis and methods of trading
• Familiarity with trading platforms and order/execution management systems
• Sound knowledge of economics and finance
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field; a professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, or ACCA is preferred
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills under time pressure
• Genuine interest in staying current with market trends, regulatory updates, and economic developments
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, deadline-driven trading environment
Preferred Qualifications
• NISM certification(s) relevant to equity dealing (e.g., NISM Series VIII – Equity Derivatives, or equivalent)
• Prior experience on an institutional dealing desk or with a SEBI-registered broker/dealer
