Role Description The Senior Sales Engineer role at Schmersal India is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. The Senior Sales Engineer will engage with industrial customers to understand safety and automation requirements, develop tailored technical solutions, and present product offerings that meet application needs. Daily responsibilities include preparing proposals and quotations, conducting product demonstrations, providing technical guidance during pre- and post-sales phases, and supporting installation and commissioning activities in coordination with service teams. The role involves maintaining strong customer relationships, managing sales pipelines, achieving sales targets, and delivering regular reports and forecasts to management. The Senior Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with internal engineering, product management, and customer support teams to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to design solutions and assist customers with product selection,



integration, and troubleshooting.
Candidates should possess solid Sales and Customer Service skills to manage the sales cycle, build long-term relationships, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly, prepare professional documentation, and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in engineering (electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or related field) are preferred.
Experience in industrial automation, machine safety, or related sectors, along with familiarity with safety standards and regulations, will be beneficial.
Ability to work in office at customer locations when required, willingness to travel within the region, and strong problem-solving and negotiation skills are advantageous.
