As a Lead Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial &
Investment Bank's Securitized Product Group Technology team, you will be a
subject matters expert (SME) for a specific area of trade pre-trade, trade
capture, pricing, and real-time risk & pnl stream of work. Your expertise is
applied cross-functionally to drive the adoption and implementation of technical
methods within various teams and aid the firm in remaining at the forefront of
industry trends, best practices, and technological advances

Job responsibilities

* Lead the design, build, and modernization of FICC trading platforms with AWS
as the default execution environment; define target-state cloud architecture,
engineering standards, and delivery practices across teams.
* Drive migration and transformation of legacy/on-prem components to
cloud-native patterns (microservices, event-driven architecture, managed
services), improving resiliency, scalability, security posture, and




time-to-market.
* Remain deeply hands-on (design + build + code reviews + production support)
while owning end-to-end outcomes—requirements, architecture, implementation,
testing, release, and operational stability.
* Lead development of core services in Java (Core Spring, Spring Boot, Spring
Cloud) for trading workflows spanning pre-trade, trade capture, pricing, and
related FICC capabilities.
* Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering
practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery
speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring,
test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while
establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review,
automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.
