Australian software company hiring a senior full stack developer to work with us remotely. This role goes beyond feature work — you'll shape how our systems are built and lead the data migration work that comes with it.
What we're after
3 – 7 years building and running production systems, plus:
Strong React and TypeScript - you use types to catch bugs, not to satisfy a linter
Real data migration experience. You've moved production data between systems or schemas and lived with the consequences. You know why you validate row counts before you cut over.
Architecture judgment. You can explain why you chose a data model, what it costs at scale, and what you'd do differently.
Deep SQL and relational modelling, plus practical NoSQL, if you've picked a Cosmos partition key badly and had to fix it, we want to hear that story
Azure in production: pipelines, App Service or Functions, Key Vault, monitoring. Data Factory or Database Migration Service a real plus.
Careful with sensitive data,
secrets management, least privilege, PII handling as habit rather than afterthought
Transparent written English; we work asynchronously part of every day
Nice to have: infrastructure as code (Bicep or Terraform), GraphQL schema design at scale, CI/CD ownership, mentoring or code review experience.
How we work
Fully remote. We're based in Brisbane and look for a few hours of daily overlap. Bring your AI tools; we care what you ship and whether you can tell when the model is wrong.
How to apply
Send your CV to
[email protected] with a short note about a migration or architecture decision you've made, what you chose, what it cost you, and what you'd do differently now.
Process: A technical session where we look at code and system design and 1 or 2 interviews. No take-home tests, no algorithm puzzles.
