Position Title: Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager

Role Purpose
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring robust direct tax compliance, driving seamless end-to-end reconciliations, and assisting in the timely closure of books of accounts and finalization of Financial Statements. This position reports directly to the GM Finance and Accounts.
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties
1. Core Accounting & Ledger Integrity
· End-to-End Bookkeeping: Scrutinize and pass day-to-day general ledger accounting entries, including accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and payroll allocations.
· Fixed Assets & Inventory: Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), calculate depreciation according to the Companies Act and Income Tax Act, and reconcile physical inventory with ledger accounts.
· Document Verification:
Ensure strict validation of all purchase invoices, expense bills, and supporting vouchers against commercial contracts and approvals prior to booking.
2. Direct Tax Compliance & Form Filling
· TDS & TCS Compliance: Correctly determine TDS liability under applicable sections. Ensure accurate deduction, deposition within statutory due dates, and quarterly preparation and filing of TDS Returns. Ensure timely generation of Form 16/16A.
· Income Tax Return Filing: Collate, organize, and prepare necessary agile computation data grids for the filing of Corporate Income Tax Returns. Assist in completing and uploading various relevant ITR Forms.
· Tax Audit Support: Prepare comprehensive data templates, detailed schedules, and sample documentation required for filling up Tax Audit Forms (Form 3CD). Ensure absolute alignment between financial accounts and statutory tax disclosures.
