In this role, you will:

Personally design, build, test and support production-quality full stack applications and shared services. Lead the implementation of complex components while remaining an active contributor to the codebase.
Act as a senior technical authority within the function, providing informed guidance across software architecture, cloud engineering, application development and the wider technology landscape.
Shape the architecture and evolution of the platform, including shared services, application onboarding patterns, integration standards,



developer experience and operational controls.
Develop backend systems using Python and Java, selecting patterns and technologies according to the performance, reliability and maintainability needs of each service.
Build contemporary frontend applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript or JavaScript.
Design robust, scalable distributed systems using appropriate patterns, including microservices and event-driven architecture.
Make and document significant architecture and engineering decisions, balancing immediate delivery with long-term sustainability.
Diagnosing complex production, performance and integration issues, identify root causes and drive effective solutions.
Conduct detailed code, design and architecture reviews and ensure that agreed engineering standards are applied consistently.
