We’re hiring a Video Editor (Full-time) at Swavid (Bangalore). We are looking for a short-form content specialist who can take raw footage and turn it into high-retention Instagram Reels using proven hooks, pacing, and editing frameworks.

We’ll start with 3-4 paid trial videos. If we’re a valuable fit on both sides (quality, communication, timelines), we can move into a long-term, ongoing engagement.

What You’ll Do
• Plan shots & concepts:
• Suggest the type of shots, framing, and b-roll you need before recording.
• Co-ordinate with the Founders and Help structure content around strong hooks, clear narrative, and retention tactics.
• Edit high-performing Reels:
• Cut and edit vertical 9:16 content optimized for Instagram.
• Add dynamic subtitles/captions (with emphasis, color, emojis if needed).
• Use smooth, punchy transitions and speed ramps to keep retention high.
• Integrate simple motion graphics, overlays,



and on-screen text to highlight key points.
• Sync cuts to beats/music and trends where relevant.
• Optimize for performance:
• Follow current IG Reels trends, hooks, and editing styles.
• Tailor edits to maximize watch time, saves, and shares.

Must-Have Skills
• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, hooks, and retention.
• Ability to work with graphics, text overlays, subtitles, and basic motion design.
• Comfortable with giving creative input (not just “editing what’s given”).
• Good communication and ability to take feedback and iterate quickly.
• Understanding of basic color correction and sound design for social media content.
We’re looking for someone who can take full ownership and help shape how the brand looks and feels.
