You’ll work on the Content Platform, evolving the wikitext infrastructure that powers collaborative editing and content experiences across hundreds of languages.
The role combines complex software engineering with opportunities to improve performance, usability, reliability, and maintainability at massive scale.
You’ll design and deliver systems used by hundreds of millions of people and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, client teams, and community contributors.
Your work will span parsing, language processing, APIs, caching, persistence, monitoring, and contemporary web technologies.
You’ll have substantial ownership of complex technical projects, from defining problems and architecture through implementation and delivery.

Accountabilities
Design and deliver improvements to large-scale wikitext processing infrastructure, balancing user experience, performance, backwards compatibility, and long-term maintainability.
Own complex technical projects from problem definition through architecture, implementation, testing, and production delivery.
Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, client teams, and community members to iterate on features and resolve technical challenges.
Develop and maintain PHP and JavaScript software supporting content experiences across hundreds of languages.
Design, implement, and maintain reliable internet-facing APIs using appropriate server-side technologies.
