Your Team Responsibilities
The DevOps Platform Engineering team is responsible for building, operating, and evolving the engineering platforms, developer workflows, and self-service capabilities that enable engineering teams across MSCI to deliver software securely, reliably, and at scale.
As part of the MSCI Core DevOps Engineering team, you will help define and evolve the future of software delivery and developer enablement across the organization. This includes ownership of CI/CD platforms, engineering workflows, cloud-native platforms, internal developer tooling, and self-service capabilities built on technologies such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Backstage.
The team defines and maintains engineering standards, golden paths, reusable workflows, platform abstractions, and governance models that product and engineering teams adopt to accelerate delivery while maintaining consistency, security, compliance, and operational excellence.




This team operates as a software engineering organization focused on platform capabilities and developer experience - building internal products, APIs, automation, and integrations that shape how engineering teams build, deploy, operate, and support software across MSCI.
Your Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement reusable CI/CD frameworks, GitHub Actions workflows, templates, and platform abstractions that standardize software delivery across the organization, packaged as golden paths that stay adaptable for diverse engineering use cases.
Drive enterprise DevOps and SDLC standardization initiatives and engineering best practices.
Design and build internal platform capabilities, APIs, automation services, and integrations across GitHub, Azure DevOps, Backstage, cloud services, and internal systems.
Partner closely with Security, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, and Application Engineering teams to embed governance, compliance, and operational controls directly into engineering workflows and platform capabilitie
