- We are seeking a dedicated School Counsellor to join our educational firm.
- In this role, you will be responsible for counselling students belonging to grade 1-8.
- Helping students develop academic plans that match their skills and strengths
- Collaborating with other staff members
- Facilitating crisis intervention and prevention programmes
- Communicating with Teachers, parents and administrators about a student's progress regularly
- Building non-judgmental relationships based on trust and respect
- Analyzing student performance in the classroom
- Helping School Administrators plan and carry out school-related programmes and events
- Helping students talk about their feelings and think about their choices
Qualifications And Educational Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling/Guidance, Education,
or Psychology
- Minimum of 1 year of school counseling or teaching experience
- Understanding and familiarity with computer applications and word processing functions.
Responsibilities
- Listen to students concerns about academic, emotional or social problems
- Help students process their problems and plan goals and action
- Improve parent/teacher relationships
- Facilitate drug and alcohol prevention programs
- Organize sessions on various social relevant topics.
- Refer students to psychologists and other mental health resources when needed.
- Work on academic boards to improve learning conditions
