As an Engineering Leader, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple engineering teams, overseeing the complete software development lifecycle from architecture and design through deployment and production operations.

You will work closely with Product, Design, Architecture, Operations, and other business leaders to establish technical direction, define engineering roadmaps, and ensure successful execution of high-impact initiatives.

The role also involves building organisational capabilities through hiring, resource planning, performance management, mentoring, and career development. You will help drive transformation across engineering by improving scalability, automation, platform modernisation, engineering processes, and overall product quality.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Lead multiple engineering teams through the complete software development lifecycle , from design and development to deployment and operations.
- Define and execute technical strategies and engineering roadmaps aligned with business and product objectives.
- Partner with Product, Design, Architecture, Operations, and senior leadership teams to drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Oversee delivery of scalable, reliable, secure, and high-quality software products and services.
- Establish effective team structures, resource plans, engineering processes, and delivery practices.
- Lead hiring, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and team growth.
- Coach and mentor Engineering Managers, senior engineers, and technical leaders .
- Promote engineering best practices across architecture, development, testing, deployment, reliability, and operations.
- Drive initiatives focused on scalability, automation, cloud adoption, platform modernisation, and operational efficiency .
- Establish and monitor engineering quality, productivity, reliability, and delivery metrics.
- Identify technical risks, organisational challenges,



and delivery dependencies and drive effective resolution.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
- Support performance management, career development, and leadership development across engineering teams.
- Drive organisational and technical transformation initiatives to improve engineering capabilities and business outcomes.
- Ensure teams consistently deliver against strategic priorities, timelines, quality expectations, and operational objectives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4+ years in engineering leadership or people-management roles .
- Proven experience managing multiple engineering teams and leading large-scale software development initiatives.
- Robust understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, modern software architecture, and DevOps practices .
- Demonstrated ability to define technical strategy, engineering roadmaps, and long-term technology direction.
- Strong experience managing the complete software development and delivery lifecycle.
- Proven track record of building, scaling, and developing high-performing engineering organisations.
- Experience with hiring, resource planning, performance management, mentoring, and career development.
- Strong understanding of engineering best practices, software quality, scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
- Ability to lead complex technical and organisational transformation initiatives.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to balance technical priorities with business objectives.
- Excellent project management, decision-making, problem-solving, and execution skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities, with confidence working with senior executives and cross-functional leadership.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
