Company: CYURÆ Location: Gurugram, Haryana Engagement: Fractional / Part-time Work Model: Primarily remote with one mandatory office day per week Availability: One virtual project-review call each working day About CYURÆCYURÆ is an early-stage, AI-native technology startup building a scalable consumer digital product. We are looking for an experienced Fractional CTO to help us convert our vision into a clear technical roadmap and manage its execution. Detailed product information will be shared only with shortlisted candidates. Role OverviewThis is a hands-on technology leadership role, not a purely advisory position. The Fractional CTO will work closely with the founders and development team to oversee technology planning, AI product development, sprint execution, hiring, architecture, and overall project progress. Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain the product and technology roadmap. Guide the architecture and development of an AI-based product. Convert product requirements into epics, user stories, sprints, and measurable milestones. Conduct sprint planning, backlog reviews, and delivery tracking. Review daily progress, technical blockers, risks, and priorities. Coordinate work across AI, backend, mobile, UI/UX, QA, and cloud teams. Prepare a phased technical hiring plan. Help create job descriptions, screening criteria, and interview scorecards. Interview and shortlist candidates for critical technical roles. Review important architecture, security, database, API, cloud, and integration decisions. Establish practical engineering, QA, documentation, code-review, and release processes. Provide founders with a explicit weekly overview of progress, delays, risks, and next steps. Required Experience10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology leadership. Previous experience as a CTO, Fractional CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, or Principal Architect. Proven experience building and launching an AI-based product into production.



Strong understanding of AI systems, backend architecture, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, and mobile integration. Practical experience with Agile delivery, sprint planning, Jira, and engineering project management. Experience building and hiring multidisciplinary technical teams. Ability to work directly with founders in an early-stage startup environment. Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Technical ExposureExperience with the following will be an advantage: Python and FastAPI PostgreSQL and Redis AI/ML APIs and open-source models Vector databases AWS and Docker GitLab and CI/CD Mobile and modern web application architecture Working CommitmentThe selected candidate must be available for: One daily virtual project-review call. Regular communication with founders and team leads. One fixed day every week at our Gurugram office. Participation in sprint planning, architecture reviews, hiring discussions, and product demonstrations. Candidates who cannot attend the Gurugram office once a week should not apply.
