About the job
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager & Content Writer Intern to join the team at Credes — someone who understands how brands communicate online, can turn ideas into explicit and engaging content, and understands that social media is more than simply posting graphics and captions.
This is a paid, completely remote internship with real ownership.
Stipend: ₹15,000/month
Location: Completely Remote
Internship Duration: 3 months or 6 months
Eligibility: Candidates must be located in India
You’ll work closely with our design, product, engineering, and business teams to create content for Credes and selected projects and brands we work with. The role will involve content strategy, writing, research, social media planning, campaign ideation, publishing, performance analysis, and continuously improving what we communicate and how we communicate it.
You will not simply be given captions to rewrite.
We’re looking for someone who can understand a topic, research it properly, identify an interesting angle, write strong content around it, and turn that into something worth publishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage content across platforms such as Linked In, Instagram, X, and other relevant channels
- Develop weekly and monthly social media content calendars
- Write clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content for social media
- Create short-form and long-form content including social media posts, carousels, captions, blogs, articles, website content, case studies, newsletters, campaign copy, and scripts
- Research topics across technology, startups, products, design, engineering, AI, business, and digital culture
- Identify trends, conversations, and content opportunities relevant to our audience
- Turn technical or complex subjects into explicit and interesting content
- Work with designers to translate content ideas into visual posts, carousels, and campaigns
- Develop strong hooks, headlines, CTAs, and content narratives
- Maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and brand voice
- Schedule, publish, and manage social media content
- Monitor comments, engagement, and relevant conversations where required
- Track content performance and identify what is working and what is not
- Use performance insights to improve future content
- Repurpose strong ideas across multiple formats and platforms
- Maintain organised content documentation and publishing workflows
- Use AI tools for research, ideation, drafting, and content workflows while critically reviewing and improving the output
- Collaborate with design, product,
engineering, and business teams to understand what is worth communicating
- Take ownership of content from idea → research → writing → publishing → performance analysis
Must-have Qualifications
- Strong written English with excellent grammar and clarity
- Ability to write concise, engaging, and structured content
- Strong understanding of how content differs across platforms such as Linked In, Instagram, and X
- Ability to research unfamiliar topics and quickly develop a clear understanding of them
- Ability to simplify technical or complicated ideas without making the content inaccurate
- Strong understanding of hooks, storytelling, content structure, and calls-to-action
- Good understanding of social media and current digital content formats
- Ability to independently generate content ideas instead of relying entirely on provided briefs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt writing style based on the brand, audience, and platform
- Comfortable working with AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc. while independently validating the output
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines
- Must be located in India
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience managing a brand, startup, creator, community, or organisation’s social media
- Experience writing for technology, SaaS, AI, startups, design, or product-led companies
- Understanding of Linked In content and B2B communication
- Experience creating content calendars and social media strategies
- Basic understanding of SEO and long-form content optimisation
- Experience with tools such as Notion, Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Canva, Figma, or similar
- Ability to interpret basic social media analytics and engagement metrics
- Understanding of brand positioning and brand voice
- Experience working with designers on carousels, campaign creatives, or social content
- Basic understanding of visual design and what makes social media creatives effective
- Experience writing scripts for short-form videos or reels
- Experience conducting competitor and content research
- Familiarity with content repurposing workflows
- Experience with community engagement or social media interaction
- Exposure to email newsletters and website copywriting
How We Evaluate Candidates
We do not evaluate candidates based on resumes alone.
You will be evaluated on:
- The quality of your actual writing
- Your ability to research and understand a topic
- How clearly you communicate an idea
- Your ability to generate original content angles
- How well you understand different social media platforms
- Your understanding of brands, audiences, and positioning
- Your ability to distinguish good content from generic content
- Your ability to use AI tools without producing obvious AI-generated writing
- The quality of content or campaigns you have previously worked on
If your experience is limited to generic AI-generated content, copied content, college assignments, or basic social media posting, this role will likely not be a fit.
Significant — Working Samples Are Mandatory
Your application must contain examples of work you have actually created.
Applications without writing samples, published content, portfolio work, or direct links to previous work will not be considered.
Valid submissions can include:
- Linked In posts you have written

- Blogs or articles
- Website copy
- Newsletters
- Social media campaigns
- Content calendars
- Scripts
- Case studies
- Personal content accounts
- Portfolio links
- Google Drive or Notion portfolios containing your work
Simply mentioning that you have worked on social media without providing examples will not be considered sufficient.
For a better chance of being shortlisted:
- Add direct hyperlinks to your best work in your resume
- Include your best 3–5 writing or content samples in your application
- Clearly mention what part of each project was done by you
- Include measurable results wherever available, such as reach, engagement, followers, impressions, leads, or conversions
Your actual work matters significantly more than the number of certificates or courses listed on your resume.
