Senior Architect Java

Location : Mumbai, India

Reporting To : AVP Enterprise Architecture

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree in Engineering or a relevant field is preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 10 years of overall experience in software development and enterprise application architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Architect or Technology Specialist in Java/J2EE technologies.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale, high-performance applications.

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on expertise in Java and J2EE technologies.
- Experience with Spring Framework, EJB, Hibernate, JSP, Servlets, and Core Java.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, or similar backend frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and Software Architecture principles.
- Experience working with application servers such as WebLogic, Tomcat, and JBoss.
- Expertise in developing and integrating SOAP, WS-Security, and RESTful Web Services.
- Experience with offline and NoSQL databases such as IndexedDB and MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, distributed systems, and API-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, performance optimization, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise applications and technology solutions within the defined scope,



quality standards, and timelines.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions by leveraging software architecture principles, design patterns, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Define application architecture, integration strategy, and technology roadmap aligned with organizational objectives.
- Recommend appropriate integration patterns and best practices for integrating new and existing enterprise applications.
- Prepare and maintain architecture documents, technical specifications, and design artifacts.
- Analyze existing systems, identify architectural bottlenecks, and redesign or re-engineer solutions to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support development, deployment, and integration activities by providing technical consultation and issue resolution.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, frameworks, and architecture standards to ensure modern, future-ready solutions.
- Mentor, coach, and train development teams to strengthen technical capabilities and reduce delivery risks.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, performance benchmarks, and architectural governance.

- Oracle Certified Professional (Java)

- Any relevant Enterprise Architecture certification
