Bakery Intern

Baking Intern — Breads, Viennoiserie & Cakes

A hands-on, rotational internship for someone starting out in a skilled bakery. You'll work mainly on breads and viennoiserie (sourdough, loaves, buns, croissants and laminated pastries), and also learn cakes and pâtisserie — plus support other parts of the kitchen as the day needs. No experience required; just a real interest in baking and a willingness to learn every station.

Key Responsibilities

- Learn and assist across our production sections — breads & viennoiserie first, then cakes & pâtisserie, and other stations as required
- Help with bread doughs — mixing, shaping, proofing and baking
- Assist with viennoiserie — laminating, shaping and baking croissants and pastries
- Support cake production — batters, sponges, fillings, frostings and simple finishing
- Weigh and scale ingredients accurately; follow recipes and portion sizes




- Keep workstations clean, organised and hygienic, and follow food-safety procedures
- Support the team during busy production periods, and with packing and dispatch when needed

What We're Looking For

- A genuine interest in baking — breads, pastry and cakes
- Willingness to learn and rotate across different sections, not just one
- Eager to learn and take feedback
- Comfortable working with both egg and eggless products
- Punctual, organised and hardworking
- Physically fit and able to work in a standing kitchen environment
- No prior experience required — attitude matters most
