Child Minder

Purpose of the Role To provide safe, engaging, and supervised care for children of guests within the designated kids' area/creche, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and a positive experience while parents/guardians are engaged elsewhere on the property.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise children within the designated play/creche area at all times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Register children at drop-off with accurate details (name, age, parent/guardian contact, allergies, special needs, pick-up authorization).
- Organize and conduct age-appropriate activities, games, and entertainment to keep children engaged.
- Maintain constant visual supervision and headcount of children under care.
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards are maintained in the play area and equipment.
- Administer basic first aid in case of minor injuries and immediately alert Security/Medical/management for any emergency.
- Ensure children are released only to the authorized parent/guardian as per registration details.
- Monitor and enforce maximum capacity and age-appropriate access to the kids' area.
- Report any incidents, injuries, or concerns to the Supervisor/Manager and document as per SOPs.
- Maintain a friendly, patient, and nurturing demeanor with children at all times.
- Coordinate with housekeeping/security for cleanliness, safety checks,



and access control of the area.

Eligibility / Qualifications

- Minimum 10+2 (Higher Secondary); background in childcare, early childhood education, or nursing preferred.
- Certification in childcare/first aid/CPR preferred or willingness to undergo training.
- Prior experience in childcare, creche, or nursery settings an advantage.
- Valuable communication skills in English/Hindi; additional languages an advantage.
- Patient, caring, and responsible personality with genuine affinity for children.
- Background verification/police clearance may be required given nature of role.

Skills to be Developed

- Child safety, supervision, and emergency response procedures
- Age-appropriate activity planning and engagement techniques
- First aid and basic emergency care for children
- Parent/guardian communication and guest service etiquette
- Incident documentation and SOP compliance

Working Conditions

- Rotational shifts (including weekends and holidays) based on property operating hours.
- Active, hands-on role involving extended periods of standing, moving, and engaging with children.
- Work in a monitored, secure, child-safe designated area.

Progression

- Based on performance and experience, may progress to Senior Child Minder / Kids' Area Supervisor.
